Gorton Structures is a family owned company providing structural steelwork, we offer a modern and efficient steel construction service in an exciting and fast-moving world to suit your project requirements, working with end clients, developers, professional teams and main contractors.
Our offices are based near Coseley in the West Midlands, this providing a central location and the flexibility to supply across the West Midlands.
Gorton Structures Managing Director has over 23 years of experience in detailing & managing projects ranging in size from 5 tonne to more than 100+ tonnes, from estimation, design, detailing, fabrication, delivery and erection on site to hand over.
Whilst providing a wide range of structural steel solutions, we can offer Supply only through to a full design & build service from conception to reality.

At Gorton Structures, we pride ourselves on having an industry-leading approach for all our projects, using the latest 3D modelling software packages – Tekla Structures, Strucad, BimReview, Autocad. Our In-house project draughtsman also manage and monitor the project flow to stay within budget with the necessary skills and experience to guarantee success, efficient and delivery on-time. We can also provide a connection design service from qualified structural engineers to the latest design standards.
We hold UKCA EN1090 EXC2 and ISO9001 certification, this UKCA mark provides a third-party assurance that the product has been produced and specified in accordance with a UK designated standard.
We approach all projects with the same care and attention to detail and at the start of every project a comprehensive project plan is produced for each job which sets the necessary targets for drawing issues, material purchase, subcontract orders, approvals, deliveries to site and handover, there is full quality control from start to finish.
With access to a variety of our pre-approved fabrications companies, who all hold full UKCA marking to execution class 2 & 3 and run Factory Control Procedures with the capacity to fabricate 80+ tonnes of structural steel per week.
Site erection is sub-contracted to a reputable erection company, in accordance with Health & Safety regulations to include risk assessments / method statements as prepared and agreed with the main contractor and ourselves. All site personal are trained and experienced and carry the necessary CSCS certifications and plant / equipment usage certificates.
